Primarily in theater rooms, projectors are used to produce the video image. The projector is mounted to the ceiling in the back of the room; however, there are special projectors and applications where the projector can be mounted just in front of the screen. Screens are made in all different shapes and sizes. Automation Design Group enjoys using acoustical screens which allow speakers to be installed behind the screen itself, thus adding to the experience and allowing for larger displays. Some ask if they should purchase a 4K projector, or even a 3D projector. As technology improves, these projectors continue to become more affordable and add an amazing experience overall.
Audio in a theater is controlled by audio processors and amplifiers. Some of the best systems use a separate pre-amplifier to process the sound and additional amplifiers to control each speaker. Other systems use an AV Receiver that processes and amplifies the sound all in one unit. Speakers as well differ in sound and performance depending on material quality and size. There are an array of different speaker configurations that will fit all rooms and all sizes. It is important that the right configuration is used in each room.
